  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 Asian pear or apple, grated (tenderizer secret!)
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang paste
  • Black pepper to taste

🛒 Bowl Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 300g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cooked white rice per bowl
  • 2 eggs (fried)
  • 1/2 cup kimchi
  • 1 cup spinach, wilted
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • Shredded carrots and sesame seeds
  • Gochujang sauce to drizzle

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Mix all marinade ingredients together
  2. Slice beef very thin against the grain
  3. Marinate beef minimum 30 minutes (overnight = best!)
  4. Cook beef in very hot pan 2-3 minutes per side
  5. Assemble bowls: rice base, beef, all toppings
  6. Fry egg and place on top
  7. Drizzle gochujang and sesame seeds
  8. Serve immediately!
